Mac

1. Open Network Preferences

2. Click + to add new connection

3. Choose VPN for Interface, PPTP for VPN TYPE

4. Click Create

5. Once created, fill Server Address with tw1.ipmi.hostinginside.com

5. Fill Account Name with the VPN username provided within dedicated server information
6. Click Authentication Settings and fill your VPN password provided within dedicated server information


7. Click Advanced and make sure you uncheck Send all traffic over VPN connection.


8. Connect to VPN
9. Once you connect to VPN, you should be able to login into your IPMI via web browser.

Windows

1. Open Network and Sharing Center
2. Click Set up a new connection or network

3. Choose Connect to a workplace and click Next

4. Choose Use my Internet connection(VPN)

5. Fill Internet address with ipmi address provided and click Create

6. Click Change adapter settings

7. Right click on VPN Connection created and choose Properties

8. Once VPN Connection Properties window popup;

• Change Type of VPN to Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPsec)
• Change Data encription to Require encription (disconnect if server declines)
• Choose Allow these protocols
• Check Challange Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP)

9. Click Advanced settings

10. Fill preshared key

11. On Networking tab, uncheck IPv6

12. Choose IPv4 and click Properties

13. Once IPv4 Properties popup, click Advanced..

14. Uncheck use default gateway on remote network

15. Open regedit(usually through MSDOS)
16. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PolicyAgent

• Choose menu Edit
• Point to New
• Choose DWORD (32-bit) Value
• Type AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule and press enter
• Right-click AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule
• Choose Modify
• Change Value to 2

17. Please restart your computer
18. Connect to VPN
19. Once you connect to VPN, you should be able to login into your IPMI via web browser.
